Our client is a global business and IT consultancy with approximately 1000 consultants worldwide. They provide a full range of business and technology consulting services from strategy formulation, through people and process change, to the delivery and support of technology solutions.

At present their financial services practice are seeking Technical Architects, to define software architecture to meet their client's business requirements and work through to deliver that architecture.

The requirements for the role are:

•  Experience of on software systems of varying sizes and architectural styles, using both open source and commercial technologies that could include Java, .NET, RDBMS, Middleware, Web..

•  Experience of software architecture definition, technology selection, hardware sizing/capacity planning and quality assurance A wide variety of design exposure and should have progressed quickly in their career to date.

• An awareness of the current trends in technology such as lightweight Java EE, Web 2.0 and SOA is also important.
• Degree qualified

The role:

Successful candidates may be looking to move more broadly into technical project management over the medium term and our client will support career development to achieve this. Alternatively you may want to remain with a focus on architecture.

Although much of your time is likely to be spent working on projects, there are a range of activities that you are encouraged to take part in to add to your experience and develop your career in other ways.
