The Opportunity

Opportunity to join the UK practice of a niche Lean Sigma management consultancy. It's work has spanned industries as diverse as from Automotive, Oil & Gas, Chemical & Nuclear to Telecoms and Financial Services, applying the most appropriate business improvement tools and techniques to achieve sustainable improvement across the value stream.

The role will include delivering and selling consultancy, training and coaching to an existing and new client base, project management of consultants on various assignments, and product development / solution generation.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Degree (preferred)
  • 3-5 years working experience as a qualified Lean Expert or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt, ideally complemented with management experience at a blue-chip organisation.
  • Experience delivering Lean and/or Six Sigma projects within the Public Sector would be highly beneficial
  • Experience running training courses and facilitations as well as successful major process improvement projects. You will be an inspiring trainer, able to build rapport with any audience.
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in coaching and mentoring other managers, plus have the ability to sell consultancy, run multiple projects, ‘roll your sleeves up’ and do the job.
  • Enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal/man management, presentation and facilitation skills. Able to work effectively at all levels within an organisation, from board level through to the shop-floor.
  • Experience of areas such as JIT, BPR, organisational change management, Supply Chain reengineering, NPI and management development would also be an advantage, as would additional European language skills.

Travel, both within the UK and internationally, is an essential part of the job, and the successful candidate should expect to be away from home for a large part of most weeks.
