Business Development Manager – Management Consulting

Can you sell consulting projects across Supply Chain Optimisation, BPO and BPR?


Due to ever increasing expansion plans this global (think 300+ people) professional services firm require the skills of a capable business development manager to operate across The UK market. This is a pure professional services BD role rather than a sell and deliver role; it’s about opening doors, securing the sale and moving on to the next one.


As an organisation they operate across operations strategy, logistics & supply chain optimisation, process re-engineering and organisation design. The main elements for the BDM will be supply Chain optimisation, BPO and BPR. If you are conversant or have sold across the other areas, this will of course be viewed upon favourably and probably increase your earning potential.


From an industry point of view your target market are companies that operate across: Oil & Gas, Mining and Banking. Past projects won and successfully delivered have been for some of the largest and best known organisations across the globe. Your ability to actively demonstrate their past success stories makes opening doors
and securing engagements a whole lot easier.


It is anticipated that you will be able to sell upwards of 6-10 projects per annum. A typical project engagement lasts around the 8-12 week mark and generates revenue of around £100,000 plus. The bonus or commission for each project is derived from the revenue you bring in. There is no cap on the commission you receive and not only is it a very generous commission (plus base salary of course) but it is paid from the first £ you bring in.
