Infrastructure Technology Architecture / Programme Delivery (ZAN/023) Working with global capital markets, investment banking and universal banking organisations assessing, designing and delivering leading technology solutions for improving the quality and reducing the cost of their technology infrastructures. You'll be working alongside experts in this industry with prominent clients to deepen your technology knowledge whilst broadening your core consulting skills. You will be working on large-scale transformation programmes, from conception through to delivery, typically within Technology Infrastructure and Technology groups, with a variety of clients and gaining greater insights into leading and new edge technologies. The role involves:• A broad understanding to drive the design, review and challenge of Infrastructure Technology (servers, middleware, database, market data, storage, networks) architectures in global banks with particular focus on wholesale banking and capital markets (although an appreciation of the differences for retail and consumer banking will be required)• Leading our development of intellectual capital around Infrastructure Technology• Directing overall programme planning and design of Infrastructure Technology programmes and implementation• Developing and stimulating our people in the technical and practical aspects of Infrastructure Technology, developing and supporting their career development more broadly• Managing teams to address individual components, plan execution and deliver Infrastructure Technology designs• Reviewing and releasing Infrastructure Technology deliverables and documentation• Managing engagements to plan and budget• Identifying issues and risks and communicating progress with client stakeholders.• Facilitating workshops to identify technical requirements and develop architectural decisions
We are looking for exceptional candidates with:• Outstanding Infrastructure Technology design and integration skills including both the technical skills and experience to develop practical solutions as well as the ability to engage with senior clients and stakeholders to progress decisions and agree designs• Experience in designing and implementing Infrastructure Technology transformations, gained in a capital markets environment (either working for an institution or a consultancy firm)• Strong Financial Services sector knowledge• Strong knowledge of vendor solutions for many components of Infrastructure Technology• Experience in delivering large scale programmes, example programmes likely to include data centre consolidation, server virtualisation, storage consolidation, desktop virtualisation etc.• Working experience of the leading technology solutions• Experience of leading and developing teams
