As a Hudson & Yorke consultant you will work alongside high-calibre colleagues on a range of groundbreaking and important strategic projects; you will be actively engaged in managing and delivering Hudson & Yorke services to FTSE 100/Global 500 corporations and public sector organisations. Our team is made up of a blend of ex “big four” and specialist consultants as well as highly experienced individuals from leading service providers. Our projects are both national and international in nature.
The profiles below summarise the career backgrounds of the consulting team we are building and the types of candidates we are looking for:
You are a high-calibre ICT strategy or technology consultant working for a market-leading tier-1 consultancy. Your work focuses on providing independent trusted advice to FTSE 100 clients and you have experience of telecommunications, network services, mobility, unified communications and collaboration. Your consulting skills may cover either the strategy/sourcing phases of major engagements, or the strategic implementation of major transformation programmes. Your experience has predominantly centered on buy-side consulting engagements, through which you have developed a thorough appreciation of the dynamics of the supply-side of the telecommunications marketplace.
You are a high calibre ICT or strategy consultant who has recently completed a graduate training programme (ideally 3 years in tenure) with a market leading tier-1 consultancy. You want to continue to develop your skills within a niche organisation where you have the opportunity to make a difference and learn from a highly experienced team of people. Your consulting experience to date will enable you to quickly become a contributing member of the team.
You are working in the CIO/CTO office of a large multinational playing an important role in the optimisation of the telecommunications or network services portfolio. You operate at a strategic level in either a technical, service or commercial capacity and have experience in one or more of the following areas: technology strategy, vendor management, commercial governance, ITIL-based service management. You are comfortable managing upwards at a CxO level, liaising with market-leading vendors, managing SLAs, designing and monitoring business cases, and participating in appropriate IT governance forums.
You are an experienced ICT Sourcing professional with experience of running large IT sourcing programmes and negotiating high value strategic contracts with market-leading vendors. You have a strong appreciation of the legal frameworks of major contracts, the key commercial principles supporting the design of pricing models, the content of service level agreements, the mechanics of running deadline-driven RFP exercises, and the process of contract negotiation. You have led strategic and tactical sourcing programmes in a large multinational environment where optimisation of Total Cost of Ownership is of paramount importance.
You are able to demonstrate a track record of success in selling ICT professional services to public sector clients. You have a well established network of relationships with ICT influencers and decision-makers in the central/local government arena and a detailed understanding of public sector procurement frameworks. You can demonstrate evidence of the ability to lead/manage the delivery of consulting assignments to public sector clients. You bring a strong appreciation of the strategic potential of ICT to enhance the delivery of public services to citizens and businesses.
You work for a leading international telecommunications vendor or service provider in a corporate sales/business development capacity. Your mandate is to focus on developing large enterprise accounts and your skills encompass technical solution design, SLA design, price book development, business case evaluation, deal architecture, contract negotiation. You have direct experience of working “at the coalface” with leading client organisations helping to shape their ICT strategy through stakeholder management and deal-making.
You are an ICT Research Analyst working for a market-leading tier-1 research house, where you pride yourself on having your "finger on the pulse" of strategic market developments and key trends. Your research work requires you to understand, promote and develop best-practice in the area of enterprise-level telecommunications and network services. You have a comprehensive knowledge of the ICT requirements of the enterprise end-user as well as an in-depth understanding of the telecommunications supplier marketplace (covering fixed and mobile service providers and vendors). You have an excellent track record in report publication, conference presentation and client seminar delivery.
You are working in a preeminent global law firm in a role directly involved in technology and outsourcing. You advise public and private sector clients on procurement, global IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing. You provide leadership advice on strategic initiatives and the best corporate, legal and commercial practices. You offer initial strategic assessment and deal structuring leading to the negotiation and drafting of proposals. You undertake commercial and operational due diligence. You demonstrate broad commercial and business acumen.
