Position:                      Head of Sector (Manufacturing Consultancy)

Remuneration:             c.£105,000 (inc. bonus element) + car allowance + benefits

Location:                     UK base

A mid-sized consulting practice wishes to appoint a director as head of the manufacturing consultancy service offering.  Although based in the Midlands region, the firm carries out assignments on behalf of major corporations which operate within the UK, Europe and the US. 

The consultancy has an entrepreneurial outlook and this particular role will require the successful candidate to build upon existing success and further develop the service lines which currently address both strategic and operational manufacturing issues.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success and experience gained within the following areas:

• Must have management consultancy experience which includes business development and account management – networking, proposition development, bid management, engagement management – effectively  'selling-in', 'selling-on' and 'cross-selling'.
• Management of (and P&L responsibility for) a consulting business unit.
• Team building and management.
• Delivering manufacturing operational performance improvements on behalf of major corporate clients.
• Application of lean and 6 Sigma approaches
• Designing factory flow/layout and appreciation of machine performance.
• Strategic direction and rationalisation of manufacturing operations.
• Multi sector experience
