| Sand Resources require an experienced Director of Marketing and Business Development for our central Government client. Reporting directly to the chief executive of this government agency, you will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy. You will develop an overall category strategy for eCommerce that enables UK public sector organisations to take advantage of an electronic market place portal (eCommerce) that will provide access to a wide range of goods and services. You will act as the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for internal and external procurement projects and to contribute to relevant UK public sector programme boards. You will manage media activity and other public relations activities. Essential experience: Relevant and extensive senior marketing, business and customer development experience in either Government to Government or Business to Business (B2B) environments. Understanding of how procurement can deliver real public sector effeciencies, ideally including an understanding of Category management, EU legislation and contracts. Excellent written and verbal skills including public speaking.
