Client Partner - Financial Services
The Client Partner will be part of a select group of executives who are focused on managing the largest and most strategic accounts for a technology services and consulting business. The basic function of this position is to protect, enhance and grow the client relationship to include managing new business development, account management, delivery and operations. The function has P&L responsibility and it is the influential element of the client relationship.
Specific functional responsibilities include:
· Managing profitability targets and the delivery of gross operating profit within the account,
· Manage, motivate and mentor a team of direct reports who are overseeing segments of the overall solution delivered to the client.
· Ensure that engagement managers are leading profitable and efficient programs with strong customer satisfaction.
· Stay current on IT and business issues facing the Banking and Insurance Industry so as to bolster the status as an industry advisor.
· Establish new client relationships with key decision makers and ensure that existing clients are highly satisfied.
· Act as a leader for all aspects of delivery and on-going development within the account, assuming responsibility and accountability for the client partnership within Europe.
· Manage and deliver an effective channel of communication between all key stakeholders both on client side and internally.
· Collaborate with the global account leadership to refine and evolve the overall account strategy.
· Become current on the vast portfolio of offerings and industry specific solutions to maximize growth and diversification efforts.
The ideal candidate will currently be leading a banking and / or insurance sales capability and / or a client P&L for another reputable IT Services, Management Consulting or BPO Provider. He/she will be a strong general manager having spent time in both delivery, business development roles and understanding the nuances of these areas. This person will interact with “C” level executives on the IT and business sides of a financial services business and will ultimately be viewed as a strategic advisor to the client.
Specific attributes we’re seeking include:
· Proven account management in a consulting environment for a financial a service client.
· Prior experience growing a strategic FS account at 30%+ per year
· Strong understanding of the IT and business issues facing Banking and Insurance firms in today’s market
· Extensive experience scaling client accounts, building reference-able client relationships and delivering IT solutions to financial services and insurance firms
· Proven background of consistently achieving or exceeding annual revenue and profit targets
· Experience closing large deals covering multiple service lines
· Background working successfully in a global delivery environment
· Reputation for being highly ethical and working very collaboratively with other parts of the organisation
· Possesses teamwork, communications, and management process skills needed for success in a rapidly growing and changing organisation
· Must be a big picture thinker and bring a successful track record with building comfortable relationships based on trust and respect
· Must know how to build, guide, manage, mentor, motivate and reward teams in addition to set, deliver revenue/profit targets
· Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills in both strategic and ‘hands on’ environments. It would be of benefit to have done this in both on and off shore style organizations.
